Meet Your Wellness Team
Earl Johns, Psych NP
Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Founder
Hi! My name is Earl, and I’m a Board-Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner based in the San Francisco Bay Area. I help LGBTQ+ individuals and allies navigate mental health challenges and build lasting wellness — so they can feel whole, balanced, and connected to their most authentic selves.
I was born and raised in San Francisco and received my master’s in psychiatry from the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) — one of the top programs for psychiatric nurse practitioners in the country. I completed my residency training at UCSF Psychiatry and Crestwood Healing Center, where I worked with individuals across a wide range of diagnoses and life experiences.
Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of supporting LGBTQ+ clients from all walks of life — helping those experiencing anxiety, depression, mood swings, trauma, difficulties with focus, and substance use find clarity and healing.
As a gay man who is neurodivergent, I understand the unique pressures, identity challenges, and stigma that many in the community face. This lived experience deeply informs how I practice, partner, and care for you. It’s my life mission to help you feel better, and my goals are your goals— I’m in your corner now.
During your first visit, you can expect a collaborative, affirming space where you’ll feel truly listened to. Together, we’ll create a personalized treatment plan that takes into account your medical history, life story, lifestyle, and comfort with both medication and holistic approaches.
My goal is to help you feel safe, understood, and empowered — so that every session becomes meaningful time dedicated to your healing & growth.
